Fallen Heroes' Children's Education Fund
Tribute To The Troops established the Fallen Hero’s Children’s Education Fund ("Fund") to provide financial assistance to the surviving children of our fallen heroes to for post-secondary education costs. We strongly believe that these children should have the opportunity to pursue the career or vocation of their choice, and that the loss of the parent should not inhibit their ability to follow their dreams.
To assist these children and their families, Tribute To The Troops opens and funds a 529 education account in the child’s name in honor of their fallen hero. A full 100% of contributions made to the Fund are deposited into 529 accounts or paid directly to the child if they are already enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
Funds raised by Tribute To The Troops chapters are earmarked for the benefit of children in the state where the chapter operates. The Minnesota chapter has raised and contributed over $300,000 in 529 accounts or made payment directly to children who have roots in Minnesota. The newest chapters in Illinois, North Carolina and Oregon are now underway and are raising funds in each of their states for the benefit of children in their state.
If you would like to help us make a difference in the lives of these children, please consider making a contribution to the Tribute To The Troops’ Fallen Hero’s Children’s Education Fund. You may direct your donation to "Minnesota", "Illinois", "North Carolina", "Oregon" or "National".
